Sometimes you are asked to make a cards for which a stamp set just doesn’t exist or fit in exactly with what you need for the occasion. It’s my eldests birthday and unsurprisingly she knew exactly what she wanted – a gecko card.
After searching through the various Stampin’ Up! sets I have available I decided nothing fit the bill. Back to the drawing (or in my case ‘stamping’) board.
The latest edition to our busy household is a Lavender Morph leopard gecko called Sklya. I’ve learnt alot about leopard geckos in the last 4 weeks – mostly that they aren’t as scary as I first thought!
Her beautiful colouring inspired me to try recreating it as a background using the sponge daubers and several ink pads. What do you think? A simple ribbon and birthday message embossed in silver to match the silver layer finish this card off neatly.
I really enjoyed creating this bespoke background – it was so simple to do and really is a unique card for my unique daughter!
