Sometimes you love a design but are not sure its something you’d use lots. It’s hard to justify buying a stamp set if you know in your heart of hearts it will just sit on the shelf. And that’s ok because you can’t LOVE everything right? *
I really like the Dandy Garden Suite with it’s retro flower feel, but I know that it’s unlikely I’d be creating lots of cards with dragonflies as, to be perfectly honest, I’d rather have a butterfly.
Having said that though I wanted to see if I could change my mind, but to do that I needed a dragonfly. Handily the lovely patterned paper has a multitude of these winged insects to choose from. I simply used my snips to trim round a colourful dragonfly, added a bit of Wink of Stella and hurrah, I have a dragonfly topper for my card!
I’ve teamed the papers with Bumblebee Cardstock and ribbon and a sentiment form the Butterfly Gala Photopolymer (clear) stamp set.
I think someone at Stampin’ Up! must have had an ‘eye-spy book of insects’ when they were preparing this catalogue! I’d love to hear what your favourite insect is?
* Ok some people do but sadly my budget won’t allow me to buy everything on my wish list!
