Monochrome madness

Nothing says dramatic like a black and white card, except if there is a tiny hint of colour!

Taking the Perfectly Penned Designer Series Paper (FREE with a £45 spend until 30th September or until stocks last) I created 4 unique cards, each using a single hint of colour .

My first card uses the Timber 3D Embossing Folder teamed with leaves highlighted in Old Olive blends to match the sentiment.

Next I added a Christmas tree with Real Read decoration on a Wintery 3d Embossed background. I love that this set also includes a snowflake backgroud – perfect for all your Christmas Cards!

I then decided to try out my new Merry Melody Embossing Folder – oh my isn’t that musical score so fantastic. It really makes a card sinf – tra la la la laaa!

For my final card that musical embossing started me singing a sea shanty, and when I saw the waves on this paper it was an obvious choice to use the anchor and sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Sailing Home stamp set. Weigh Hey and Up She Rises (definitely no drunken sailors in this craft room!).

Did you notice that all four cards are basically the same design and layout? Just by changing the sentiment and adding a few embellishments you have a multitude of different cards. Imagine what you could do if you had lots of different colours to play with!

If you’d like to take advantage of salebration to get this free pack of papers, then I recommend having a look at the embossing folders over at my online shop (links below). If you spend £45 or more you’ll be able to add them to your basket before checking out – let me know if I can help!
