Today I’ve created two cards using the Shaded Summer Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue (Page 75).
This is a new design and one I’m ashamed to say I overlooked at first glance, but thankfully I took a second viewing and found it has some unique sentiments in a mix of BOLD TYPE and handwritten font.
For my first card I made a base of Soft Succulent cards stock and added a 10cm by 14.4cm layer in Evening Evergreen. I then stamped the floral image on a 9.5cm by 13.9cm piece of white, using the coordinating Evening Evergreen ink before using a Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Blends to colour. Three of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels finish the card off perfectly.
We all know someone who goes that extra mile, and this “Above and Beyond” sentiment is perfect for a few people in my life!
I think that Fresh Freesia is such a stunning colour, so light and cheerful, that I had to make another card. This time I embossed a layer using the Painted Texture 3D folder and added coordinating Fresh Freesia ribbon to the corners. I then used the Layering circle Dies to cut out sections of the flowers and add an Evening Evergreen scalloped backing. I raised the circles using dimensionals to add depth.
It true that some Friendships are just meant to be, and as the UK slowly returns to a new normal, it’s lovely to be able to finally meet some friends indoors, especially if you enjoy crafting together.
