With the sun shining, is it any wonder my thoughts turned to those flowers that follow the brightest star throughout the day? Stampin’ Up! must have some form of fortune teller employed as yet again they are absolutely on track with the latest releases in the new annual catalogue for 2020-21 (available online from 3rd June – contact me if you’d like a paper copy).
One of the the (many) items that caught my eye was the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Flowers for Every Season designer series paper. Both are packed full of sunning flowers and coordinate with the latest ‘In Colours’.
My first simple stamping card uses a layer of ‘Just Jade’ cardstock and ‘Bumblebee’ ribbon to bring together the stunning petal and leaf paper design.
By changing the background colours to ‘Misty Moonlight’ and ‘Cinnamon Cider’ (don’t you just love these names!) it gives a totally different feel to the next card. I also ran the designer paper through the subtle embossing folder to add texture, before finishing offer with ribbon and enamel dots.
My third card used the Rectangular Stitched dies along side the brand new Forever Flourishing Dies. I can see the latter will be use for many cards as it contains a range of foliage of varying sizes. Don’t you just love it when you open a new item and can immediately think of dozens of things you want to try?
