I love the Fine Art Suite, including this gorgeous designer series paper. Each pack contains 12 sheets of patterned paper: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs.
Did you know that one of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing artists actually painted all of the designs? I suspect my chances of getting the original are quite small, but I’d be happy to frame any of the sheets to hand on my craft room wall,
I love patterned paper, but occasionally it’s to nice to chop (shocking) so I set myself a challenge to see how many cards I could make from one 12″ by 12″ sheet. How many do you think I made? Watch my video to find out….
Stampin’ Up! do love Butterflies. Look through the catalogue and you’ll always find a butterfly or two (or three or more!).
The Butterfly Gala Stamp Set has been around for a little while now, and the matching duet punch coordinates to perfection.
I love simple cards with a twist and a punch is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to add a little bit of wow to your cards.
For this cards I stamped and punched out a pair of butterflies before adding a Wink of Stella to ad some sparkle.
Using the card that I’d punched out the butterflies to create the background, I then mounted on layers of Seaside Spray and a base of Pretty Peacock. Senitments were added in Pretty Peacock from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.
If you watch closely and you’ll see my “design change” – an embellishment opportunity happens when the ink slightly smears! Oops!
So simple but full of character. Hope you like it!
