Limiting your range of colours can make a striking card, something I often do if I want a sentiment or image to really stand out. In this simple three colour card I’ve use the stamp set Grace’s Garden stamp set as my basis, but created interest by adding layers.
I started off with a simple white folded card to which I added a layer of Peony Garden designer series paper. This single colour design of large flowers provides a background for another white layer, a piece made using the Stitched Rectangles dies.
In this card I’ve matched the colour of the patterned paper by stamping in Basic Grey ink, before colouring using the Melon Mabo blend and a little bit of Wink of Stella for added sparkle.
It’s all tied up with a bow made using the Polka Dot Toile Ribbon and some pearl embellishments finish it off.
Pop back later this week as I’ll be showing you a range of cards that can be make using Grace’s Garden, a real treat for Spring cards!
