Retiring Colours – add them to an Art Gallery?

I love it when Stampin’ Up! announce their new colours but it always means we are saying goodbye to some old favourites.

The 2019-2021 In Colours will sadly be leaving at the end of the month, so this really is a last hurrah for them. If you love Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock or Rococco Rose, then shop now – once they are gone, they really are gone šŸ™

To show you how lovely I’ve teamed three of the colours together to make a simple but elegant birthday card using  the “Art Gallery” Stamp set. It looks stunning, but as you’ll see from my video its very easy to use!

I created a card base with half a sheet of A4 Seaside Spray, 14.9cm by 21cm, folded in half and burnished (this means the seam was pressed down to make a crisp fold).

I used a 10cm by 14.4cm layer of Terracotta Tile card, and a white card top layer of 9.5cm by 13.9cm.

I used all three inks to colour the stamps – and the great thing about this stamp set is you can use the inks in any part of the flower – why not try experimenting!

A knot of Seaside Spray metallic ribbon is held in place with a glue dot, and I snipped the Happy Birthday sentiment off a but of left over Seaside Spray card stock and popped it on dimensionals to add a bit of depth.

Art Gallery Birthday Card

I’m pleased that the Art Gallery Stamp set will be around for at least another year, but these colours will be out of stock soon, so don’t hang about and head on over to my shop now to make sure you don’t miss out!
