Welcome to Folded Hugs by Deb Cooper, an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator based in Ash, Surrey (right on the Hampshire border!).

Deb from PDQ Cards

My name is Deb Cooper and I first started making cards when I was about 4 years old. However poster paint, glue and large sheets of sugar paper didn’t really give me the professional finish I wanted so I stopped until much later when I was all grown up.

After the birth of my youngest child I found I wanted a creative outlet and papercraft called to me once again. I’d always loved the coordination and options that Stampin’ Up! gives and when the option to become an Independent Demonstrator came along I leapt at it!

Why are you called Folded Hugs ?

Whilst coping with lockdown and Covid19 restrictions we’ve acknowledged that time is precious and that we all need human contact; a letter or a card in the post has meant the world to so many. A simple piece of paper folded in half has replaced what, for many, we were unable to do in person.
My cards are made with love and so I’m delighted to introduce my new name “Folded Hugs”

Who/What is Stampin’ Up!?

Stampin’ Up! offer a range of high quality stamps, ink, and paper, as well as embellishments, specialised tools, beautiful project kits, and more. The coordinating product suites (matching sets) and colours make crafting simple if like me you can be a little overwhelmed by choice at times, so you can have an amazing crafting experience, whether you are an absolute beginner or serious crafter.

Why do I like like Stampin’ Up!?

Apart from the great products (did I mention I love them?) part of the fun of being your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is bringing people together to share creative experiences — I love seeing beginners grow in confidence, the joy of discovering a new skill or technique (me included!) and seeing what they have made brings a smile to my face.

I love sharing what I do and helping others stretch their creativity especially in my Classes. If you can’t make one of my regular classes then why not get a group of friends together and I’ll come to you – there are benefits to hosting!

You can see some of my creations (I often forget to photograph them – my latest resolution is to do better!) in my Gallery.

In addition to card making I also have a family who are sport mad, work in a primary school and have a rescue dog called Tess (you may get to meet her at my classes – she’s very friendly!).

If you’d like to find out more about Stampin’ Up!, what I do, or any of the classes or products I can offer please do get in contact using the form below.

I look forward to hearing from you!
